This hotel has a great location with easy access to nearby restaurants, pubs, and shops.

The restaurant was great for breakfast, I tried excellant dishes.

Nothing too much trouble, the venue met the needs. Our room was bright, airy and equipped with coffee, a bath, for example. We had brilliant meals in the hotel; visited The Albert based not far away.

Views appeared to be awful.

Breakfast in my time and at my pace - excellent. Car parking and close to the center of Colchester made my stay most enjoyable. I shall look forward to staying again soon.

This lovely place with friendly staff is in a great central location near a convenient bus stop and the nearby Dolphin Fish Bar is a wonderful spot to relax.

The Globe Hotel is ideal and gorgeous. the staff is pleasant. - the location is great and absolutely perfect, close to a bus stop. - It's not too far from a contemporary art gallery. - I highly recommend this place to everyone.

The hotel was like we have read on the website: simple, not so much comfort - but we were on our way to Harwich, for the boat to Holland ('ash...'). If you don't expect more than just a room and a simple self service breakfast, not far from the station and the centre - and good free wireless and a good bed internet, the hotel is okay. Just that.

There was no elevator, so we had to climb a few stairs with our luggage. A small 'airplane bathroom', but all was there. It's a hotel annex restaurant, so you have to take this in mind. If you would stay for more than two nights, take another hotel (if you can afford that).

The personnel were amazingly great and pleasant, paying attention to every detail. the hotel is in a marvellous and absolutely perfect location, very close to the rail station. - It's right by many restaurants, which is convenient.

The breakfast here was great with a nice variety of options to choose from. Its location is convenient, close to shops and places to grab a quick meal. Plus, you can easily find everything you need during your stay. 🌟

It was too expensive for a hotel with such a bad reputation as I found out later. I sincerely advice everybody not to stay there!!! It was pretty much the worst accommodation I have ever stayed, need to admit it doesn't have a standard of some hostels!!!. Terrible, terrible place !

Despite reading very poor reviews on this hotel, I found no fault whatsoever. Very clean, friendly helpful staff, decorative foyer. Room 3 was great. spacious, bright, comfy bed, good pillows, powerful shower. freeview telly. Alas, had to leave too early to sample the Indian Breakfast.

Signage for hotel entrance too understated - I was trying all the downstairs restuarant doors without success before noticeing the small hotel sign up the side street.
